Ivan Bracho Gonzalez

Ivan Bracho Gonzalez has a distinguished career of over 13 years in the legal and judicial systems of the U.S. and Latin America with a specialization in international arbitration, dispute resolution, and litigation. As a native of Venezuela and a former appellate judge, he is uniquely knowledgeable of the traditional legal customs and expectations of attorneys practicing in Latin American countries, while also upholding the American professional standards. As an Associate with Hogan Lovells LLP in Miami, Florida, he represented clients and sovereign states before federal and state courts and arbitral tribunals in complex cross-border matters and international commercial and investment arbitrations. With bilingual fluency in Spanish-English, he is fully proficient in arguing before courts and tribunals in both languages. This also enables him to effectively develop arguments and communicate and interpret complex information to clients and close cultural gaps across jurisdictions. Ivan holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Miami and two Master of Law Degrees in International Arbitration and Alternative Dispute Resolution from the University of Miami and The Ohio State University. Aside from his unique understanding of the judicial systems of Venezuela and Latin America, he is a published author with extensive knowledge of transnational dispute management, public international law, international commercial and investment arbitration, and litigation. Ivan is admitted to practice law in Florida and Venezuela and is the Regional Coordinator for the Americas for Young ICCA.
